Yes, we are still adopting!

Yes, we are still adopting. I find myself repeating this same answer over and over again. Let me just say, International Adoption is not for the faint of heart. It's long and exhausting and painful and you second guess yourself a hundred million times! These stages have been on repeat since we started this journey a year and a half ago and I know that I have barely begun!!! That is probably the most painful part. To feel like you have already been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and then to know that you still have at least 2 more years of just waiting!!!!!!!!! Ugh!!! I know it will be worth it, but geez! So, our current plan of action..... wait. Wait for the day that we get the email that connects us to our child. "Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “ God  has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? I have been looking forward to the moment that I would get to blog about this next adoption milestone...... we have completed our dossier! Some of you may be wondering, what in the world is a dossier? I had no idea what one was either before this process began for us. Let me give you the basic rundown.... Basically the dossier, is a TON of paperwork, that acts as a profile for your family. Photo pages, background checks, application letter, references, home study, birth certificates, etc, etc, etc.... Our families dossier is exactly 50 pages in length! Which may not seem like a lot, but let me tell you, it is! It's not just the pages themselves, it's the precision in which each page must be executed that makes you want to pull your hair out! Notarize this, make sure each date matches exactly, any mistakes must be initialed and dated..... and the list goes on and on. I started our dossier in August of 2012 and just completed it yesterday.
